Christophe Sepot
Who is Christophe Sepot?
Adventurer Christophe Sepot crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a rowing boat in just 109 days. He has sailed around the world twice. During his last circumnavigation, he combined sailing with a documentary about women throughout the world: Around the World in 80 Dates. The absence of a phone and internet at sea got Christophe Sepot thinking. He decided to share his adventures with lay people and started to organise ocean crossings for people with no sailing experience.
During his travels and the various professional challenges he undertook, Christophe got the feeling that each new first encounter worked like a ‘reset button’. He thus concluded that you could make any project or challenge, or even your whole life, a lot easier and a lot more fun. All you have to do is stick to a few simple rules. Sepot is currently writing a book that describes these rules: SAY IT: Say Hi, Say Goodbye, Say Thank you, Say Sorry.
This is also the theme he addresses during his presentations. He does this using examples from his travels, work and life. One of the examples Sepot highlights is the importance of saying ‘good morning’ to your colleagues before you get started. This may sound like something really simple but, unfortunately, is not a given and can even have major financial consequences for a company.
