Tomas De Soete
Who is Tomas De Soete?
Tomas is an established name, both on radio and TV. After his studies, he immediately started working at Studio Brussel, where he not only presented talk shows like Brussel Midi and request programmes like Wildcard. He was also, together with Christophe Lambrecht and Peter Van De Veire, the first occupant of The Glass House for Music for life.
For four years, Tomas, together with Linde Merckpoel, helped StuBru listeners get up with the morning show Tomas Staat Op. He made the switch to the small screen and presented the travel magazine Weg met De Soete on Canvas. In the daily talk show Café Corsari on Eén, he interviewed a wide variety of guests for three years. In Café Corsari, everyone was welcome for a refreshing pint and a good chat with Tomas. Afterwards, he disappeared from the screen for a while to focus on the fiction series Fiskepark. A series he not only wrote, but also starred in. In that series, he played a magnified version of himself as a downtrodden BV suspected of a (fictional) murder of his good friend Bent Van Looy. Fiskepark was released to the public in 2019. The absurd series was savoured! In parallel with the TV series, Tomas also presented the radio programme Radio Fiskepark (Radio 1). In this programme, he had two guests look back at the delusion of the week.
In early 2020, he presented the marathon episode Canvas Popnacht, together with Jan Delvaux and Jimmy Dewit. Alternating between radio and TV, both in front of and behind the scenes, Tomas has grown into an all-round presenter. As a moderator, Tomas knows how to steer your event in the right direction. He takes you in tow and makes sure your guests get the right message.
