Laurence Jacobs

Who is Laurence Jacobs?
Laurence Jacobs has been fascinated by technology since a young age. She began her career at ICT company Unisys and currently works as a Business Relationship Officer at technology federation Agoria, a community of more than 2,000 technology companies in Belgium. With a degree in history from the Free University of Brussels, she approaches social change through a technological lens. She was part of Agoria's Be The Change project that focuses on shaping the future labor market through digitalization. In addition, Laurence is an ambassador for Women in Tech which aims to attract and retain more women in the technology industry, and to inspire and encourage female leaders. She is also active as a judge and coach at WeAreFounders (an initiative of the digital campus BeCentral), judge of DO! Ghent and Pulse Foundation, active member of the Women4Cyber Foundation Belgium, board member of #SheDIDIT and member of the General Assembly of Technopolis. Laurence is co-author of the book Never Normal, which explores the impact and opportunities of digitization in education, the labor market, entrepreneurship and civil society.
