Joren Carels
Who is Joren Carels?
Joren Carels has been passionate about radio since he was very young. He gained his first radio experience with the local channel Utopia in Baal and the youth project ‘The Takeover’ from VRT. During his studies at the RITS, he started working for Studio Brussels, where he presented mainly weekend programmes over the years, such as De Maxx and Hit 50. He was also one of the three voices of The Final Settlement 2012.
In mid-2017, Carels returned to Qmusic, where he had earlier attended the internal training programme ‘Q-academy’ in 2009. From August 2017 to June 2019, his main task was as producer of the daily evening programme F.C. Fierens by Vincent Fierens. In 2018, he started to combine this with presentations, first as a stand-in and later with a regular programme on Sunday evenings.
In 2019, Carels presented the evening programme Radio Liberation Front every weekday and, in the summer of 2020, he presented Qmusic for the last time from the Q-Hotspot in Ostend.
His smooth chat then brought him to the editors of Radio 1, where he can be heard as a stand-in. He also presents weekly for Studio Brussels. He was responsible for the stage presentation of Marktrock, Kunstbende, etc. and is sure to lead your event in the right direction with great enthusiasm and professionalism.
