For many years, Tim was the ‘bestselling unknown author in Flanders’. He has now published a bestseller under his own name: Door het oog van de naald (Through the eye of the needle).
This involved Tim exploring the deeper and darker side of life in Ghent. He closely shadowed several heroin addicts and slept with them in squat houses, railway station or on the street. He witnessed harrowing events that re-shaped his vision of people and society. He has developed a unique perspective on the delicate issue of homelessness, contemporary drug policy and the consequences for society at large.
