Liesbet Boone
Who is Liesbet Boone?
Liesbet is co-founder of Conundrum and a doctor of psychology. She has been coaching executives, professors, teams and staff from an evidence-based framework for more than 10 years.
As a researcher, Liesbet has built strong knowledge and expertise around perfectionism. Because perfectionism has a negative impact on performance, well-being and job satisfaction, she started focusing on how perfectionism presents itself in the work and entrepreneurial context. She thus shifted her focus to leadership, including developing a new leadership vision at Ghent University and coaching managers and teams in organisations. From the observation that many entrepreneurs, professors and executives ran into perfectionism in their leadership, she wrote the book ‘not perfect, yet satisfied’ in 2023. Her mission? To grow the self-awareness of entrepreneurs and executives so that they do not come into coaching only when their business, team and themselves have already stalled.
From her accumulated scientific knowledge, expertise and coaching experience, she brings a clear, reasoned and hopeful message, with the key lever for growth being optimism.
‘I am keen to empower entrepreneurs, executives and employees so that they can realise their ambitions in personal and professional life with courage and conviction. Without them having to lower the bar as a result.’
Liesbet knows how to enthuse her audience, challenging their thinking, broadening self-insight and encouraging them to take first steps towards optimism. She is asked to speak for the general public as well as for specific audiences, such as entrepreneurs, executives, HR professionals, teachers, coaches,... .
An engaging and inspired speaker with a substantively strong story. She regularly underlines this with a touch of humour and practical examples. After this lecture, you will say ‘well perfect and satisfied’.
