Who is Tom Braekeleirs?

Tom Braekeleirs is a leading innovator in the field of digital health. He has over 25 years' experience in the IT sector, working for companies such as EDS-AT Kearney, Navision and Microsoft. In 2015, he switched careers to lead the BlueHealth Innovation Centre, a not-for-profit organisation active in the digitisation of healthcare. In mid-2023, this organisation became part of imec, after which Tom became a speaker at Nexxworks and founded Nexxtt.Health. He is also Visiting Professor in Digital Medical Technology at Ghent University (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences). He is a consultant, podcaster, speaker, lecturer and columnist on topics such as the future of healthcare, digital technology and entrepreneurship. In 2022, he received the PRoF Innovation Award for his contribution to the advancement of digital innovation in healthcare. His personal motto is "Change the world or go home!"
