Who is Riadh Bahri?
Riadh Bahri was born in the summer of 1988 to a Belgian mother and Tunisian father. As a child, he grew up in Ghent, where he later studied Language and Literature at university. Even during his studies, he volunteered for an internship at the public broadcasting company. Bahri successively worked for the youth news programme Karrewiet, Terzake and Het Journaal. In recent years, he has specialised in reporting on tourism and aviation. Since 2020, Riadh has worked for the Wetstraat editorial department of VRT NWS. He is also one of the regular newsreaders at VRT. Five years ago, he published his first book: 'Depressed? Loser! About falling hard and getting up again.' In it, he talks about his own struggle with depression and shares the stories of other Flemish young people. Riadh has lived in Brussels for ten years and is married to Niels.
