Goedele has been part of the VRT NWS political editorial team since 2004, for which she regularly reports from the Wetstraat and provides clear interpretation on important political events. From 23 September 2021, Devroy will be the face of Villa Politica, succeeding Linda De Win, who retired earlier that year.
Goedele Devroy studied Germanic languages and remained at KU Leuven as an assistant linguist until 1995. In 1995, she transferred to the domestic and then foreign editorial staff of the public broadcaster's news service. Since 2004, she has been a political journalist. She won the Belfius Press Prize for her Pano-report Wachten op zorg (Waiting for care), in which she investigated the distressing problems of waiting carers.
