Who is Cath Luyten?

Cath Luyten has been producing TV programmes for VRT for the past twenty years. She was first employed by the public broadcaster itself, but has been working exclusively for production house deMensen since 2013. This has given her the opportunity to fully utilise her interviewing skills, in series like Buurman, wat doet u nu. For five full seasons, she has been calling on intriguing Dutch and Flemish personalities and interviewing them over a period of 48 hours. ‘When you sleep over somewhere, you create a bond that allows you to go deeper.’ She occupied the spare bedroom of people like Henny Vrienten, Jeroen Krabbe, Rene Van der Gijp… All of them gave in to the charm with which Cath convinces people to reveal their inner thoughts, but always with the utmost respect. In talk shows like Vandaag over een Jaar and Cath & Gasten, she proves that she perfectly masters the skills of curious listening, relevant responses and impeccable timing.

She is an ambassador for Mercy Ships, which is an international volunteer organisation that offers medical assistance by taking its hospital ship to the poorest African countries.
