In 1999, Roosje Pertz was given some rather blunt advice by her mother: to stop staring into space with her mouth open. Her friends, however, had a different suggestion: she should become a stand-up comedian. Since 2018, Roosje has been combining these two pieces of advice to great effect. With her sharp observations and unique view of the world, she captivates a wide audience. She is good-natured and spirited, but never too well-behaved. She takes her audience along familiar paths of middle-class life, shedding a surprising, humorous light on them. As an energetic and engaging host, she effortlessly warms up even the most reserved of audiences.
In 2019, Michael Van Peel selected Roosje as one of his ‘Young Ones’ and she went on tour with him. In 2021, she won Comedy Match in Eindhoven. She is currently touring with her debut full-length show, Goedgezind & Flink. Off stage, Roosje produces podcasts. She shares her passion for food on the ‘KiloCast’ podcast. Every two weeks, she and Robin Broos explore whether a so-called 'last taboo' truly deserves that label on 'Het Laatste Taboe'. She does it all with a recognisable Leuven accent, convinced that it will one day be trendy again. Roosje is active on social media, including Threads, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. She has even discovered TikTok. Better late than never!
